NEET UG photo requirements
The NEET UG application asks for a passport-size colour photo with a white background, between 10 and 200 KB, as a JPG. The face should cover most of the photo, with both ears visible.
Use the recent studio photo the information bulletin asks for. The postcard-size photo has the same KB limit, so you can use this page for it too.
Requirements can change from one notification to the next. These settings match the published NEET UG requirements as of October 2026, but always check the official notification for your exam and change the numbers above if they differ.
My photo came out smaller than 10 KB. Will it be accepted?
AcornDoc pads small JPGs with empty space inside the file to reach 10 KB, without changing the picture, so the portal’s size check passes.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Pick the photo from your gallery, crop it so your face is in the middle, then choose it here.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. It’s resized inside your browser, and the new copy doesn’t include location or camera details.
