Getting a PDF under 1 MB
Many email services, school portals and online forms reject attachments over 1 MB. That’s plenty for a long text document, and for a scan of up to around a dozen pages.
First, AcornDoc shrinks only the photos and scans inside the PDF, so the text stays sharp and can still be selected. If that isn’t enough, it turns each page into a picture and lowers the quality step by step until the file is under 1 MB. Need a different limit? Type any number of KB in the box.
Is 1 MB the same as 1000 KB or 1024 KB?
Websites count it either way. AcornDoc aims under 1000 KB, so the file fits whichever way the website counts.
What if it can’t get under 1 MB?
You’ll see the smallest size it reached. Send fewer pages at a time with Split PDF, or remove pages you don’t need.
Is my document uploaded?
No. It’s compressed inside your browser, so it works with private documents like ID cards and bank statements.
