Getting a photo under 100 KB

Forms that accept 100 KB images usually want a clear photo of a document, an ID card or a certificate.

AcornDoc first lowers the JPG quality, which you rarely notice, and only shrinks the picture if that isn’t enough. At 100 KB a photo of a document keeps readable text if the page fills the picture. Crop away the table or background first for the sharpest result.

Does it work with iPhone photos?

Yes. HEIC photos are converted to JPG while they’re compressed.

The form also has a minimum size. What do I do?

Type it in the first File size (KB) box. If the photo comes out smaller, AcornDoc adds empty space inside the JPG file to reach the minimum, without changing the picture.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. It’s compressed inside your browser, and the new copy doesn’t include location or camera details.
