Getting a photo under 20 KB
A 20 KB limit usually means a signature, a small passport-size photo or a thumb impression for an online application.
AcornDoc first lowers the JPG quality, which you rarely notice, and only shrinks the picture if that isn’t enough. A 20 KB photo is small: for a face it’s plenty, but not for a whole document. Make sure the face or signature fills most of the picture before you start.
Does it work with iPhone photos?
Yes. HEIC photos are converted to JPG while they’re compressed.
The form also has a minimum size. What do I do?
Type it in the first File size (KB) box. If the photo comes out smaller, AcornDoc adds empty space inside the JPG file to reach the minimum, without changing the picture.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. It’s compressed inside your browser, and the new copy doesn’t include location or camera details.
